The Comprehensive Safety Analysis Fact Sheet for 2010 outlines four areas in which the FMCSA hope to see legislative changes enforced for Truck Driver Safety.

1. The first area of proposal is for a measurement system that can give data analysis about the level of safety a driver is practicing in his driving and conduct on the road.
2. The second area is an intervention program which gives warnings to the employer for the need to reprimand their reckless drivers upon the reports by the measurement system.
3. The third area is a safety evaluation system which will grade the level of safety that the driver has displayed.
4. The forth, and final area of proposal is that of an Op-Model test, and this test will help to determine the success of the previous three proposals, and monitor any improvement in those drivers who were reprimanded for driving recklessly.
